Presss Release Monroe County Sheriffs Department - Press Release May 27, 2014 On May 27, 2014 at approximately 3:48 PM the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a mother who lives on Gopher Ave. in the township of Tomah. She reported that her son was dropped off by the school bus and the juvenile was walking home. He was approached by a gray in color jeep driven by a male party who was described as a male white in his early 20’s and was clean shaven with brown hair. The driver asked the juvenile if he wanted a ride home and the juvenile declined and the driver in the gray jeep sped off. The juvenile went home and told his mother who in turn called the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was unable to locate the gray jeep. As far as the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is aware, this is an isolated incident. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the help of the public in identifying the driver of the gray jeep, in an effort to determine the intent of the driver.
