Pressure Will Not Win Today, I Will! Lord I owe too many people. I said too much, listened and applied to little, and ignored some things that should have been confronted earlier. But, I get it now. Today I am clear and focused. That is all that matters now. The pressures that surround me want to discourage me. My thoughts want to run out of control. I am embarrassed, and tempted to define myself by a few mistakes, but Lord I refuse. I stand up to my pressures and say, when have you ever won? Each time pressure has cornered me You have provided a way of escape for me (1 Corinthians 10:13). Therefore Lord I plan to take charge, stand up, be happy, fight back, say no to depression, frustration and even anger. I release myself from the prison of daily guilt. I am not perfect but I will win. Thank you for this day. I embrace the pressures and commit to learn from them. I embrace the education it has brought into my life. These pressures are the iron presses that will press me into shape taking out my wrinkles and smoothing out my rough edges. I will be pressed, perfected and better able to look good down the road. I take charge of my world and the things that are in my reach. I may not be able to control the pressures the light bill costs bring, but I can turn off the switch in the future. I may not be able to change my past but I can work faithfully with You Lord to create a better future. I am victorious, on the right road and Determined to Win.
