Pretty much all of the spiritual teaching tell us about a higher being, a higher spirit, and that all of us are reflexions of it, or earthly manifestations of it. If thats true (and I dont pretend that I know it to be true...), then it would make sense to say that that higher spirit would prefer that we experience this reality - created by our consciousness - in an unaltered manner. That is, without pollute it with any meanings that our minds tend to assign to what happens. Karma Yoga tells us to act without attachment, neither to the fruits of our actions, nor to the action itself. Actually, it tells us to not even consider ourselves as the ones doing the action.... sort of doing without doing. Do you think it is possible to act without attaching meaning to what happens?
