Preview of tomorrows Meet the Press The Washington divide is as sharp as ever, what can get done in 2015? Ill be joined be two key members of their respective party Senate leadership teams:?John Barrasso (R-WY) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). Pres. Obama feels less hamstrung and more emboldened, while Republicans want to prove, a year before 2016, that they can be a governing party. Also on the show: ever wondered what Washington would be like if women ran it? Well guess what, women already run Washington. The city that is. Ill talk to the three women leading DC – the new mayor Muriel Bowser, Metro Police Chief Cathy Lanier, and Schools Chancellor Kaya Henderson. Btw, there is only one other major city in the United States that has women in these top jobs. And that ends on Feb 1 of this year. (Hint: it is a city that has a Twin) Richard Engel will explore the permanent state of war that the U.S. is finding itself in and then I sit down with retired Gen. Daniel Bolger and Sarah Chayes on what 2015 will hold for the United States military. Be sure to read Gen. Bolgers Veterans Day oped in the NYT. On the political panel this weekend to give their expert insight is Buzzfeed News’ John Stanton, Yahoos Matt Bai, New York Times’ Helene Cooper and NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell. Also, remembering two political giants who we lost this week: Mario Cuomo and Ed Brooke. See you Sunday
