Prices and results for the Pakenham today through Overflow Auctions - Saturday 1st November 2014 Another sale, and another huge thank you to our supporters and volunteers. Without you, many of these horses would not find the great homes they do. We had many supporters placing bids - however there were a number of private bidders there today determined to do some rehoming of their own - which is what its all about:) Great to meet first time volunteers Nicole and Jayden today - Jayden was inspiring with his athleticism climbing in and out of the pens to get horse details and descriptions - thank you! It’s also very hard at Pakenham to see the pen numbers when there is a crowd during the auction - so Nicole made sure she was in front of every pen we had bids on so I wasn’t happily bidding away on the wrong horses :) Nicole, Jayden and Alexa were also in charge of descriptions and hunting down vendors to get every last bit of information possible on each horse. Alexa did a great job recording prices and bidder numbers, Emma was the IT expert during the trialling of our new on-the-floor Camera-to-iPhone-to-Facebook uploading, and Maia ran the office - incoming bids, phone calls and enquiries, while the page enquiries and messages were answered non-stop from 7am this morning (and still going) by another team member. And last but very much not least - a massive thank you to Ashleigh from Moondarra Lodge who worked non stop today doing assessments, then donated her time and her float to transport the two rescues we ended up with at the end of the day. Great job Ash - the vet arrived 10 minutes after you dropped the girl here xx Thank you all !!
