Peter ONeill has commended public servants who are loyally performing their duties in rural parts of the country. During grievances debate last Friday in Parliament, the PM said only a few people were painting a bad picture of what is otherwise a human resource sector thriving with excellent individuals who are dedicated to serving the people of PNG A lot of bad things have been said about public servants over the past few weeks, but I must insist that there are a lot of good people who genuinely have the countrys best interest at heart, said Prime Minister Hon. Peter ONeill. Systems are in place and that about 70 per cent of public servants were in rural areas carrying out their duties with the utmost proficiency, the Government under his leadership was now looking for ways to help the public services system mutually work for both the public as well as the servants providing the services, especially in the remote areas.
