ProRawSix - SIMPLY THE BEST Now if this headline seems far fetched, sit back and read this for just a minute. In the 80kg class, we have the All Time Oz Record holder in the 67.5kg class, Critta Stamatiou and the All Time Oz Record holder in the 75kg class, Les Grills, Critta also has the 2nd biggest total ever at 75kg. We also have 1 of only 2 lifters who have gone over [email protected], Eldene. In the 95kg class, we have the lifters with the 3 biggest totals ever in Oz at 90kg, Superstar Matt Stenzel with 800kg, which is the 90kg All Time Oz Record, Martin Nguyen with 780kg and Scott Wasson with 760kg. Marty also is the returning ProRawChamp after his decisive win at ProRawFive with 795kg. In the 110kg class, we have two lifters with the biggest ever totals under 110kg, All Time Oz Record holder Ricky Goodyear with 900kg and Jackson Murrie with 860kg. In the 110kg+ class, the great Odell Manuel, not only the All Time Oz Record holder at 140kg, but his 1020kg is the biggest ever total in Australian powerlifting history, raw or equipped. So in the mens section, we have 6 current All Time Oz Record holders divided into 4 weight classes. In the womens section you will need 400kg+ to get on either of the 2 podiums. Yolandie Weir, Rebecca Gleich and Sussy Kollen are all currently ranked in the Top 20 All Time WORLD rankings. There are 7 girls who have totalled over 400kg competing, Margie Cummins, Elena Rasmussen, Rebecca Aichholzer, Rebecca Gleich, Annie Short, Stella Ferreira, Kristy Fuderer, this list may increase to 10. Imagine that. Now, if youre still not convinced that its simply the best, Australias biggest ever bench presser, Jason Semmler, with his 280kg bench press will be competing. Jason not only has the biggest bench ever in Oz by weight, but also by formula, staking his claim for Australias best bench presser. Im not ignoring the rest of the field, but if I listed everyones accomplishments thats competing at ProRawSix, I would be here for another couple of hours. Now if this STILL isnt enough, youre a tough crowd. Now here come the steak knives. The GREATEST POWERLIFTER OF ALL TIME, Mr Edward Ignatius Coan, will be joining us. Yes, the immortal Ed Coan, has asked if he could be part of this event. Most of us are still coming to terms that this legendary champion is still communicating with us on a regular basis, let alone asking if he can come out. He will be our special guest. Now we, and when I say we, I mean Emad Nayef, Scott Wasson and myself, have worked tirelessly in getting this done. We want ProRaw to be an event that everyone loves. We pull out all stops, with $42,000 in cash and $10,000 in prizes to be won, so far, its also the richest event in Strength Sports in Australia. Now if all this doesnt justify the SIMPLY THE BEST tag for Australian Powerlifting, then youll have to wait for ProRawSeven. Ed Coan will be running workshops here at PTC HQ, Friday the 12th and Monday the 14th, limited to only 20 spots in each, roughly 4-5 hours, same format as Scott ran at PTC Brisbane. Details later on tonight, will be first in best dressed.
