A growing food company located in Huron SD is currently searching for a Safety Manager. The Safety Manager is responsible for providing continual improvement of Safety and Health processes to support attainment of goals related to risk reduction, injury prevention, and compliance with regulations and standards. This position serves as the location subject matter expert for safety and health; administers safety and health policies and programs; acts as the plant liaison for corporate safety initiatives; and partners with the plant operations team as a safety resource. In return, the company offers a good starting salary, bonus program, benefits and relocation if needed Qualifications & Requirements: -Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in safety management, production management, industrial technology or similar program required.-Five to seven years of progressive safety leadership experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food industry.-Demonstrated success in established safety management systems and plans to achieve goals.-Familiarity with building effective safety teams in a continuous improvement environment preferred.-Practical experience with Process Safety Management and Hazardous Material Response.-CSP or CIH certification, preferred-Strong understanding of OSHA Standards-Strong understanding of EPA Safety Standards-Fundamental knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and DOT safety regulations.-Knowledge of Safety Management Systems dlvr.it/7srPnP
