Probly my daughters generation will be last generation to see Paddy fields in malnad. Paddy cultivation is no longer a viable occupation in manad.paddy fields are replaced by commercial crops which is fine looking into income aspects of a farmer.but conversion of paddy fields into real estate business of fomation of sites is not acceptable.in future days,for survival of agriculture, water sources and fragile eco system, the practise of land conversion from agriculture to non agricuture in malnad has to stop.
