Choose bunches of grapes that are plump, firm, well coloured and are firmly attached to a healthy, green stem. Dry, brown, shriveled stems indicate undesirable aging. Apple lovers can look to the new season gala for the freshest on offer but there are still plenty of other varieties on offer at a firm price. Store them in the refrigerator for the best crunchy taste.
