Product Owner Assistant Varsity Spirit, the leader in cheerleading and dance team camps, competitions, and apparel, has an immediate opening for a full-time Product Owner Assistant. This position is based at our headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee. The Product Owner works with both business and IT teams to assist in the continually development and support of the technical applications that enable the business. Assist and Support the Product Owner in the following responsibilities: - Manages the content of the product backlog, prioritizes, and selects with collaboration of the team the backlog functionality to be delivered in a project or iteration - Accepts or rejects work product developed in the project or iteration - Continuously engages the team as to the status of its effort in developing product backlog selected for the iteration in order to react accordingly - Manages stakeholder relationships including concerns, requests and input to the product backlog - Supports the team by being readily available to answer questions and assists in keeping noise down - Decides on release dates for deployment of functionality and the release content - Is responsible for the value produced in the product (ROI) and therefore prioritizes features according to their value - Develops a trustful relationship with the team(s) so that the team(s) feels comfortable with communicating information to him/her, even if it is disappointing or alarming Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree required - Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines - Cooperative team player who can also work independently - High level of communication and listening skill required - Strong attention to detail and organizational skill required - Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment Systems: - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint - Salesforce - At Task - JIRA To apply for this position, please send your resume to Patrick “Ace” Kohout (pkohout@varsity) by Friday, August 15th.
