Prof. Dr. Hussein Khairy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr El Aini, Cairo University, has opened the Molecular Medical parasitology Lab (LMMP) at the Medical Parasitology Department on Tuesday, 19.08.2014 in the presence of Vice Deans and chairman of the department Dr.Mona Mahmoud and Head & Founder of the lab Dr.Ayman El-Badry and the staff members of the department and the college and staff members of Parasitology departments of Egyptian universities and institutes. It is worth mentioning that the lab is the first lab in Egypt that specializes in the molecular biology of parasites within the Faculty of Medicine in the application of molecular techniques and bioinformatics as an essential element and a key in the study of Medical Parasitology. The department teaches molecular medical parasitology specialties within the medical parasitology curriculum for students of Bachelor of Medicine and post-Graduate Students and the department provides an intensive training program for molecular medical parasitology as a unique and important program of post-graduate at the medical parasitology department
