Profitess or Prophetess Profiteer: To seek or obtain excessive profits Prophet: One who delivers divine messages or interprets divine will Isaiah 45: 21-23, “Announce, approach!! Confer together!” And, “Turn to me and be saved!” Then, “Surely every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, they will say, ‘Righteousness and strength come from the Lord! All who are angry with Him shall come to shame!” That means they will know Him too, ‘all’, ‘every’, no one is left out. ‘Every knee’, not just some knees, not just the elect or chosen, ‘every’ knee, even the fallen. Stop living in the desolation of spiritual poverty! If you are thirsting for water then drink! Drink from the Life Giving Waters not poisoned by a false Word! Are you getting this? Jeremiah 29: 11-13, (King James Version) “For I know the thoughts that I think for you saith the Lord! Thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end.” (Common English version), “I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord, they are plans of peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope!” and, “ When you call on My name and come to me and pray to me I will listen.” So, are we walking in what God’s plan is for us and what He knows we should be doing, or are we designing our own maps and being architects of our own blueprints. Remember, when you design your own maps, all roads lead to Rome, meaning death, to no good end. Go back to Jeremiah 29 and read verse 8, “Don’t let prophets and diviners in your midst mislead you. They are prophesying in My name, but I didn’t send them, declares the Lord!” Notice ‘in your midst’. A lot of prophets design their own blueprint or map for you in your walk with the Lord. Sure, God has sent Prophets and will continue to send Prophets, but sometimes they use their gift outside the boundaries of the Holy Spirit. They take advantage of God’s children as greed enters their heart once they taste the fruits of their labor. Weak women (or even men) also are subject to advances under the influence of their false teaching. O.K., let’s go to 1 Corinthians 9: 14-18, “The Lord commanded that those who preach the Gospel should get their living from the Gospel.” And, “When I preach I offer the Good News for free.” All who teach, Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, Bishops and Preachers should read this entire chapter, chapter 9, just to put your position into perspective and to better understand between sustaining God’s Word and becoming greedy! Now feel this Word in the Spirit: With a larger field there is more land to plow and more seed to plant, it needs more water and labor, and when the fruit is ready to be harvested in the end, there is a sustainable amount for the needs of the hungry. What I’m saying here is that what you put into your ministry and how many people you have to feed in the Spirit makes a difference on what you should reap. If you are a Leader in the church, you know the scripture, so don’t, let this be taken out of context. In saying this, I wouldn’t expect the Pastor of a congregation of thousands to hold a full time job, because in this, the Word supports the man as He supports the Word. On the other hand, I wouldn’t want a congregation of 30 or 40 to support the payments of a Pastor’s new Cadillac, unless you live in Beverly Hills, then the Pastor would probably be driving a BMW anyway. At that, you know a prophet is not working in the Spirit of God when he or she tells you, “If you have a $20 seed God will give you car”, or, “If you have a$50 seed God will give you house.” Now if you see this in your church, well, I pray God puts a new map in front of you and guides you to a real House of Worship. Quick testimony, I was at a revival one time where the Word of God was spoken with Power and Truth from a True Man of God not from this certain establishment. When the House took up the offering at the Altar, they then counted the money received in front of everyone, even those just redeemed in the Name of Jesus, and then, listen to this now, said they needed to be blessed with another $100! Was I paying for the late fees on their water bill? Eiyiyi! And at another service an apostle, yes, a (self)(ordained by man) proclaimed apostle of God, spoke falsely in the Spirit (I know this because the Spirit in me was burning) and told everyone God spoke to him and to tell each one of us to lay $100 seed at the Altar! Now in this, his gift of Apostleship was given freely by God(or maybe not), from being obedient to the One True God! Should it not also be given freely? Anyway, I gave a $1, didn’t feel guilty about it, and walked out. I don’t do testimonies too much, but there is a relationship here. Let me move forward. Yes, give your offering at the altar, give all you can. Trust in God to sustain you while you help sustain the House of the Lord! Know that your offering is being used to support the Church and the Ministry, and isn’t buying an I-Phone for the Pastor’s child. Get it? Matthew 7: 15-23 our Lord and Savior speaks, “Watch for false prophets, they come to you dressed in sheep’s clothing, but inside they are dressed like wolves.’ And they will say, ‘Lord didn’t we prophesy in your name and expel demons in your name and do lots of miracles?’ Then I will tell them, ‘I have never known you. Get away from Me you people who do wrong!’” Do you think you are ever going to hear a false prophet speak these Words of God from the pulpit?! Watch all your teacher’s motives. Let the Spirit of God give you an understanding of this. Love and pray for your leaders that they are truly Covered in the Blood of Jesus, that they are guided by the Holy Spirit. Because what they speak, all they speak, could lead you life, or could lead you to death. AMEN
