Programme Officer - IOM - Islamabad Advanced degree in computer or social sciences or any development discipline related to Disaster Risk Management, Humanitarian or a combination of related education and competencies. 4 Years(? Extensive work experience in challenging environments and operational activities in conflict areas. ? Experience in an international or governmental programme in a challenging environment (more than two years preferred); ? Three years professional experience in information gathering and collection processes, data entry monitoring and analysis) Assist in the development and implementation of methods to share project information, with all concerned programme managers and the field staff; this information may need to be made available in the local language, as well as English, to the maximum extent possible; Coordination with various sectoral working group/cluster (shelter, protection, community restoration, food security/livelihoods) information managers to ensure complementarity and cross sectoral analysis of information Act as IOM focal point for coordination of needs assessment and analysis for the IOM Pakistan Humanitarian Programme including sub programmes focusing on shelter, humanitarian communications, capacity building and coordination Assist in the implementation of recommendations to improve the efficiency of current monitoring systems Participate in the design, test and implementation of project surveys including tools for data collection and data entry with high professional and adequate statistical standards. Implement quality control mechanisms to improve the quality of the collected information Produce analysis of project data and suggest methods to use results for services and project improvement; Track the progress of the achievement of expected outcomes, outputs and activities defines in the project documents Support the development of evaluations in accordance with IOM Evaluation Guidelines, and the United Nations Evaluation Group Norms, including the Ethical Guidelines and Code and of Conduct Support the design of SMART indicators at a project, program and cluster levels Participate in trainings to build IOM staff and project partners capacities to gather and analyze data for project management and evaluation Provide technical guidance, training and support to project staff and other implementing partners regarding M&E tools
