Project # 1: group project Due: Oct 2 Charts/ Lists of design demands for “The Open Door” by Alfred Sutro Note that formatting of charts will not show up on facebook Guidelines: • Only note what is actually written in the script. Do not embellish with your opinion; just list the facts. • Lists! Charts! Not sentences. • Charts must cover the entire play. • Fit cells (boxes) to content. • Insert page break at each new part i.e. start a new page. • There are 5 parts to this project, plus one extra credit opinion part. • Note that sample charts have been formatted for this play. The way information/ charts are formatted will differ from production to production. • Note that samples may not be complete. You are expected to complete notes. • Paper must be in one style/ one format. • Allow time to edit/ fact check all work. • Make copies of final paper for each student before due date. Grade points: 100 points; plus a possible 10 extra credit points. Grading: • 50 points of grade will be individual participation grade. Each student will grade the participation of the other students by assigning a grade of 1 to 50 points to each student. The participation grade will be the average of these points, with the highest and lowest being omitted from the average. • 50 points of grade will be a group grade. • - 1 point for each missed piece of information • - 1 point for each inaccurate piece of information; or "opinion" • - 1 point for each instance of repeated or confusing information • - 1 point for each instance of not following guidelines • - 1 point for not listing reference page number • The entire paper must be handed in at the beginning of class on Oct 2. Failure to do so will result in a group grade of 0. Don’t rely on one student to bring finished project to class.
