Project Celebration and Taylor House are facing major budget cuts - TopicsExpress

Project Celebration and Taylor House are facing major budget cuts in the next fiscal year due to overall budget cuts across the state. To alleviate so of the financial pressures, we depend on donations to our programs. This allows our agency to cut down on supply cost. Here are a list of supplies we are always on need of: Taylor House Shelter: Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows) Towels Pots, pans, and baking ware Eating utensils, bowls, plates Cleaning supplies Toilet Paper, paper towels Hygiene products for women and children (soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) Clothing for woman and children (all sizes) Dry and canned food products Taylor House Shelter provides safe housing for women and children of domestic violence. When the women are able to leave the shelter, staff tries to provide the women with things they will need to start a new life. Many of the survivors leave their abusive homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Starting over is a hard process for these survivors but also a brave one! If you have anything that you are no longer using in your home or would like to donate an item, please bring it to Taylor House. We will gladly prove you with a donation card for tax purposes! You can call (318) 256-3408 to find out specific needs for the shelter.
