Poverty being the main cause of all sorts of suffering. They are often tortured psychologically, mentally, physically and emotionally, and often rendered hopeless which is the devastating tragedy in rural areas. This has given BEAHACO an extraordinarily opportunity to demonstrate God’s love through pairing, providing, helping and creating sense of hope. BEHACO’S VISION “Have and live in a clean and healthy society, where all people have high and great care for all in God’s image and likeness. This remains the basis for them to enjoy God’s purposeful plan for their lives in the world (John 15 : 11)” BEHEACO’S MISSION STATEMENT “ Demonstrate God’s love to the abandoned and vulnerable people’s group by providing holistic services, physically, mentally and spiritually. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION BEHACO is an organization operating at the moment in one district of Uganda set to address the needs of vulnerable groups of people i.e. children and the youth. BEHACO’S STRATEGIES Child empowerment programmes which enable them to discover self, that leads to self realization of purpose in community. Thus one to leave a purposeful life. PROBLEM STATEMENT The areas BEHACO seeks to operate in are the typically rural, in settings like most sub Saharan communities in object poverty. BEHACO aims to work with other NGO’s CBO’s and government departments to design and implement relevant interventions to improve the children’s welfare and the people who care for them. EFFECTS OF POVERTY IN THE SOCIETY 1. School dropouts 2. Early marriages 3. Lack of basic human needs BEHACO’s philosophy is that transforming the children today is the sure way to build the better world for tomorrow. OBJECTIVES/GOALS Quality education (preschool to university) 1. To ensure that every child can access quality education at all possible levels. 2. To build nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools, village/rural/locational training institutes. 3. To build children’s homes for orphans and OVCs 4. Ensuring healthy children in the society by providing medical care so as to prevent malaria. 5. Empowering children with all the needs to claim their rights. ED PLANNED ACTIVITIES Activity no.1 Enable orphaned children attain formal and vocational education. Activity no.2 Raise awareness and increase knowledge about HIV/AIDs and other related diseases.
