Proper way of flashing CM 11 updates 23+ (MTD System) Proper way of flashing then latest update of cm11 (update 23 +) backup your previous rom for your mods if you want to come back. Then import your contacts to sdcard because you wont be able to restore anything via titaniun backup because it is a new system. 1. Revert to stockrom via odin. Any baseband firmware will do. Flash the temp galaxy y cwm.zip (the yellow one) 5. Choose install zip from sdcard and flash the cwm shown at step no. 2. 6. After flashing, reboot the recovery. 7. A new type of cwm will appear. And youll see a lot of errors on mounting system, data, and cache. 8. After flashing the mtd recovery, reboot the recovery again. 10. After rebooting. Go to mounts and storage, and format the following. system, cache, data. 11. Now go back and install zip. 12. Find the cm11 update package that you have. (its either Update 23 +) then flash it and wait until the flashing is complete. 13. Reboot your device when installation is complete. 14. It is done. you can now have a party at your house and jump like and animal. Hahahaha. Note: cm11s boot animation is the longest first time boot animation Ive ever experienced. So dont panic at the first time. The first cwm that youre gonna flash is. cwm 6.0.5.0 when you suceeded at this point. You can now flash the MtD recovery cwm 6.0.5.3 this my way of flashing it.
