Protection of the home and loved ones from all harm, from natural disaster, bad luck, illness, accident and those who come to disrupt the peace and harmony of your home in whatever way To create a wise man or woman bottle You will need A wide necked dark thick glass or stone bottle or a stone or glass flask with a cork or tight lid ; some sealing wax or wax from a lighted beeswax candle(optional); enough iron nails (usually rusty) to a third fill the bottle; sufficient cheap or sour red wine or apple cider vinegar to two thirds fill the bottle once the nails are inside; three sprigs of fresh rosemary or a small quantity of dried rosemary of the kind you buy from the spice section in glass jars in a supermarket. Timing About10 pm towards the end of the waning moon cycle when the moon is not yet visible in the sky. You can check the weather section of a newspaper or on line for these dates each month when the moon rises very late at night or early the following morning. Alternatively Saturday nights. · Work in a dim light for example a single candle or small electric lamp. · Rinse the bottle under a tap under hot water. · Place the nails in the bottle, one by one, bending them if you can, using small pliers to form a horseshoe shape. · For each nail name a hazard or person that you fear or a threat that faces you, your home or loved ones. Say either You are bound from harm or you are banished/prevented from entering this home/land/threatening (name family member) by thought, word or deed. · When you have named and symbolically removed all your fears and actual threats or potential hazards, add three, six or nine more nails unbent and for each of these say, Keep away harm ,keep away danger, drive from my door, false friend and stranger · The number of unbent nails will depend on how powerful you want the bottle to be · Next add the rosemary , either three large sprigs of fresh herb or nine pinches of dried rosemary, saying in either case as you do so, Three by three, three by three, I purify, protect and seek to transform darkness to light, pain to joy and negativity to goodness, by the power of the three The three refers to the trinity of spiritual powers, in the Christian tradition Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in pre Christian and the magical tradition the Maiden, Mother and Wise Woman goddesses or the three Sisters of Father like the Viking Norns who wove the web of destiny · Finally add enough wine or apple cider vinegar to cover the nails and rosemary so the bottle is about two thirds full.. · Close the bottle and, if you want, seal it with sealing wax or wax dripped from a lighted beeswax candle. Say, Now the power to do harm present and future is sealed safe within this bottle to be transformed by the earth into goodness. · Shake the bottle nine times, as you do so saying: Keep away harm, Keep away danger, Drive from my door False friend and stranger. Drive away malice, Send away spite, Guard this my dwelling/land/family By day and by night. · Now all the powers of the individual ingredients are combined and so have a collective protective energy far greater than the separate parts. · If possible bury the bottle in deep earth near the front or back door or keep it on a high shelf in a basement or cellar. Alternatively, place it high as possible in the house, where it cannot be seen. You could also bury on land near a stable or garage to protect horses or vehicles · If the threat is really great to your home, property or loved ones add a sprig or two of fresh thyme or substitute three pinches of thyme for three pinches or rosemary and instead of the three, six or nine straight nails you added at the end use a mix or sharp needles and pins. · You can of space is limited, make a miniature bottle using a small dark glass medicine bottle or even an old essential oil bottle and reduce the quantity of ingredients but keep to the same proportions. This is much easier to conceal and you could even keep it in the back of a locker at a particularly nasty workplace. Buried bottles need never be replaced as the earth tops up the energies but if indoors replace annually with a new bottle. Afterwards wash out the ingredients of the old indoor bottle under a hot tap, adding a drop or two of tea tree essential oil or pine disinfectant and saying, May all be as it was before. If possible recycle the cleansed bottle.
