Proud of my kids. I dont give them enough credit. All summer we went on zero vacations. No water parks. No amusement parks. No Disney. Beach. ..once. Mini golf? No. Movie? No. What we did do: Lots of friends here at home in the pool and play dates and sleepovers. But, no extras. Did they tell me that I was a bad mother? No. Did they whine? No. Do I have lots of pictures of smiling kids? Yep. Things two and three asked me last week about instrumental band at school (they both have been recieving private lessons for instruments not supported as of yet though the school program) I said no. Did they ask again? No. Beg? No. Complain that all friends were attending the big instrumental night tonight? No. Dont get me wrong **Im*** a little jealous of all the extra fun but with our family dynamic, thing one in school nearly year round, work commitments, and already full schedules its just not possible. Thanks kiddos!!!! Thanks for understanding that having it all doesnt mean getting it all. U are all right by me. Xo. Now... go practice your music! !!
