Proverbs 19:21 (NIV) 21 Many are the plans in a persons heart, but it is the purpose of The Lord that prevails. PURPOSE As this week marks the start of my 51st year on this earth, I can not help but reflect on my life. I am not sure if this is a common occurrence when one turns 50, but when I consider that at least half of my life is behind me, its hard to imagine not having these reflections. I have had a good life. There have absolutely been challenges, difficulties, and losses. But there have also been triumphs. All of these have shaped me to be who I am today, and for that l am grateful. While there are things I would do differently if faced with similar situations from my past, I choose to have no regrets and move forward. I am still trying to determine what exactly my purpose is. And maybe my purpose is going to change year by year. The one thing I do know is that God has a purpose for me, and as long as I am open to whatever that may be at any given time, I will have succeeded. And whenever l am not sure of specific purposes, I can know that glorifying Him by being a God honoring father, servant, friend, son, worker, member of society, and future husband.....I will be serving a purpose.
