Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, watch over your heart; diligently guard it because from a sincere and pure heart come the good and noble things of life. First things first, how much harder is it to keep a sincere and pure heart after weve allowed anything in to hurt it? For all you single people out there: the more people you date to feel better the more heartbreak you have and the harder it is to have true sincerity in how you live because of the bitterness thats gotten in there. For all you married people out there: how much harder is it to keep that kind of heart if we dont stay selfless and we seek our fulfillment and confidence from our spouse instead of God? For the single and not dating: how much harder is it to keep that kind of heart when you put explicit movies, music, and video games in your life, taking away feeling towards the darkness in the world? Guard your heart! The smallest thing can set of a chain reaction towards becoming numb to the lost or hurting and losing that pure innocence that God created us with. Father, Keep a pure and sincere heart in me! Renew the heart that was recreated when I met You! Help my heart to be true towards others and to break for the hurt and lost of the world. Make my heart like Yours.
