Provincetown was just beatific yesterday! Very fall-like! A lot of traffic - dogs, people, strollers, cars - but without the summer frenetic energy! Worked with Ralphie - the 8 month old Havanese. We took training up to the next level - Down Stay with the owners walking across the street and beginning to Heel off leash. There was also the unexpected distraction of the wonderful Animal Rescue League who were set up across the street. For Ralphie it was awesome, as there was a dog aggressive lab x, a terrier who loved the sound of their own voice and one other dog. So the distractions were awesome! And it goes without saying it was wonderful to show some good training going on. A few pieces of freeze dried chicken, so,e soft quiet praise and just traditional training - repositioning the dog when it broke position and teaching over and over again until the dog learns! It was great!
