Psalm 140:12-13 I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy. Surely the righteous will praise your name, and the upright will live in your presence. Lord, please reveal to us the damage and corruption that is both in our own hearts and that which seeks to invade our lives daily. Intervene Lord God and protect us from these threats, be our hedge of protection and our strong refuge. Show us what it means to be righteous and upright, and to receive the righteousness of Christ instead of trying to be self-righteous, and do it all on our own. Help us remember today that we are desperate for You, and give us the courage to cry out to You with our needs. You are a Just God and we thank You that You came to save us when we had no hope!
