Psalm 145:8-14 (MSG) God is all mercy and grace—not quick to anger, is rich in love. God is good to one and all; everything he does is suffused with grace. Creation and creatures applaud you, God; your holy people bless you. They talk about the glories of your rule, they exclaim over your splendor, letting the world know of your power for good, the lavish splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is a kingdom eternal; you never get voted out of office. God always does what he says, and is gracious in everything he does. God gives a hand to those down on their luck, gives a fresh start to those ready to quit. What is your view of God? Our culture tends to not want to talk about God unless swearing is involved, yet most people believe in there is a God. What if we were to realize that God is in a good mood toward us? That He is for us and that’s the reason Jesus died. But why do bad things that happen to us? Bad things do happen, and God can turn those into victories, but the kingdom of darkness is always trying to distort, lie, and steal the truth of Jesus from us. Maybe this is a good day to ask the Father for all the stuff that’s been stolen from you, things like family, identity, wealth, property. It is time to declare that the lies and stealing end today and let the light of heaven shine in on you. That turn around will give you something to talk about how God blessed you!
