Psalm 37:11 (NKJV) But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Most people think that if they had enough money, they would find peace. The abundance of God has nothing to do with earthly finances. In fact, some of the most miserable people alive are the rich and famous. They cannot buy love, joy and peace with their abundance so they live depressed, destructive lives. The meek shall inherit the earth. Meekness is a quality that impresses God. It means to be humbly patient and overly submissive to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Those who are meek will go above and beyond to live a righteous and holy life honoring the Lord. The promised attached to such a life is that they will delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Can you imagine being completely satisfied with your life without a moment of worry, fear or doubt? This is the overflowing peace that is enjoyed by the humbly patient and overly submission who love and trust the Lord enough to do what He says and wait until He comes. Oppression and indebtedness is a personal choice to be cursed. You have been set free by Jesus Christ are may walk in the liberty of His Kingdom enjoying your inheritance before you ever leave this earth. However, it is reserved for the meek who do things God’s Way and live a life of obedience. Those who seek to serve the Lord with joy and gladness that comes from their heart will experience an “abundant” life. (Deuteronomy 28:47-48) His Grace is sufficient for me in all things so I may have abundant life in all areas of my existence if I choose to. (2 Corinthians12:8-10) Total dependency on God based on total expectancy in God will produce abundance that cannot be purchased or made but is from His Love overflowing in my life so much so that I cannot contain it.
