Psalm 55:18 “He rescues me and keeps me safe from the battle waged against me, even though many still oppose me.” When David wrote this Psalm, he was expressing confidence that God would rescue and deliver him from some of the things life was throwing at him (and life was coming at him fast at that time). He was also depending on God to keep him safe from others who wanted to tear him down both physically and mentally. But, no matter what the circumstances, he was depending on God to protect him and lift him up. God is good like that. When we approach Him and ask for help, He does not disappoint us. Life can overwhelm us at times but we can remain safe in Him. When Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, God still gave him favor and used him in a great way. Stay true to your faith, even when you feel everyone is against you. God has not left you and He will keep you safe. He will be your life-long companion no matter what others do. What a friend! What a promise! And it’s yours.
