Public Comment Period on Draft Strategic Plan to Reduce Mental Health Disparities Now Open Starting today, you have the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Strategic Plan to Reduce Mental Health Disparities. They are accepting comments on this document over the next 30 days to help shape the states efforts to reduce mental health disparities. Visit the website for guidelines on how to submit your comments. Part of the California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP), funded by the Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63), the strategic plan provides community-driven strategies to reduce disparities in racial, ethnic, and LGBTQ communities by: Identifying culturally and linguistically appropriate strategies to improve access, services, and outcomes for racial, ethnic, and LGBTQ populations, and Providing recommendations to the state for funding and evaluating culturally-rooted, community-defined promising practices over a four-year pilot program. The plan was developed based on research compiled by partners in five populations: African Americans, Asians and Pacific Islanders, Latinos, LGBTQ communities, and Native Americans. CRDP Town Hall Meetings CPEHN will be hosting five town hall meetings to hear your input into the strategic plan. At these events you can hear more about the project and provide feedback on how the plan can better serve your communitys needs. Please register for one of these events today.
