Public Service Announcement: I have said for nearly 12 years that this is what caused my Lymphoma. When I was dignosed, in addition to two tumors, I presented with a case of hives so severe that the hematologist/oncologist noted it for research purposes. I believe I had artificial sweetener toxicity, as I was always, at the time, drinking diet sodas and all sorts of diet foods containing aspartame. While I have eliminated all of this from my diet, I occasionally have sugar free chewing gum or mints. And, a day later I will have similar (albeit smaller) hives. I also have a minor thyroid condition and mild fibromyalgia (also know reactions to aspartame). Stay far away from all of these artificial sweeteners and certainly keep your children away.
