Public Service Week in full swing in Joe Gqabi District. SASSA counter service team is in Rhodes; 60 kilometets from Barkley East. Deep in rural/farm areas. It takes almost 2 hours driving in a road that has loose gravel and lot of sharp curves. Community of the area depend on social grants as well as labouring in farms in the area. Nomandithini Liwali arrived in the area around 1960s. She came for Sassa services to get a pin for her SASSA card. She is one of the beneficiaries of Government services during this public service week. The community of this area pays over R100 a return to town. Government services are a welcome relief in in their strained finances. Im told that SASSA Counter Service Team has a standing arrangement/schedule on which they service the area on every tuesdays. Together we are doing more....
