Public bath house hopping: my visit to a hot spring town gave me access to many bath houses. Armed with a towel, wearing a yukata ( informal kimono) and balancing on geta/s (wooden slippers), walk the streets then have the barcode of your pass scanned if you see a bath house you wanna enter. This was one main difference with my public bath house experience in Korea.Here one even gets to buy or eat sweets along the way. I entered one where the pool was outdoors and while dipping in scalding waters I could see the mountains and a river. Too bad I couldnt take a photo^^
