Public health doctor and author, Tamasin Knight, will be joining us from the United Kingdom to offer, "Alternative Ways of Supporting People Through Unusual Experiences," a two-hour talk that is open and free to the public. During this talk, Tamasin will offer an interactive opportunity to explore ways to support people who are experiencing what are typically referred to as delusions, hallucinations and so on. Tamasin will also share some of the innovative alternatives currently being developed in the UK. This talk will be offered on two occasions as follows: Monday, September 9th, 7-9pm Holyoke Community College, Kittredge Center 303 Homestead Ave, Holyoke Thursday, September 12th, 2-4pm Advocates, Inc. 1881 Worcester Rd, Framingham American Sign Language Interpreters will be scheduled for the Framingham talk. We are in the process of applying for Continuing Education Credits for LCSWs and LMHCs. These talks are being co-sponsored by the Western Mass RLC and Advocates, Inc. Sign up welcome but not required at 413.539.5941 x 339 About Tamasin Knight: Tamasin Knight is a public health doctor in England who was herself treated for experiences commonly labeled as delusions and obsessions and went on to publish the book, ‘Beyond Belief: Alternative Ways of Working with Delusions, Obsessions and Unusual Experiences.’ In 2013, Tamasin was also awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship to research empowerment and peer-led alternatives in the USA.
