Public service announcement for anyone that is looking for a job.... 1. Please contact the business directly either in person or via telephone instead of having your parents/girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse do it for you. An employer wants to speak to the actual person applying not a family member. 2. When you show up to ask for a job application or for an interview, dress appropriately. Pants hanging off your back side, bathing suits and other revealing summer attire does not make a good impression on a future employer. Also, keep in mind the environment you are applying for.... do those tattoos and piercings fit the environment or should you wear a shirt to cover the tats or remove the piercings. 3. Language - Keep it clean!! If you feel the need to drop the f-bomb or any other foul language while in the midst of a regular conversation then dont be surprised when an employer is no longer interested in continuing an interview. 4. Take pride in the application you are completing. An employers first impression of you is sometimes reading that application. Fill it out completely and legibly.
