Publication of Electoral Rolls on 1st October: Manohar SRINAGAR, AUGUST 30: Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls is underway and the final publication will take place on 1st October. The information was given by Minister of State for Finance, Cooperative and Elections, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma in reply to a question by Mr. Ajatshatru Singh in the House. He further said that the District Election officer (Deputy Commissioner) Srinagar has reported that during current summary revision of Electoral Rolls, Booth Level officers (BLO) of polling Station No. 65 of 24 Sonawar Assembly Constituency noticed seven (07) Non-Permanent Residents (NPRs) registered as voters in Permanent Resident (PRs) of electoral roll which have been rectified. The Minister said that District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Shopian has reported that four (04) Non- Permanent Residents (NPRs) were wrongly included in the supplementary part of the roll. The Electoral Registration officer (ERO) 36-Shopian Assembly Constituency has deleted the names from the PR section of the electoral roll.
