Purpose: REQUEST FOR PROCLAMATION Dear Governor Branstad: My name is Roe Lloyd. I belong to the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM). IAHCSMM represents approximately 20,000 Central Service professionals in the U.S. and abroad who facilitate the procurement, management and processing of surgical instruments, supplies and equipment. IAHCSMM is committed to promoting safety and preventing infections for patients by providing educational and professional development opportunities to Central Service professionals. We are asking Iowa to proclaim October 12 – 18, 2014 International Central Service Week. It is our hope that by obtaining a proclamation it encourages our citizens to recognize Central Service Technicians. Enclosed is a copy of a draft proclamation. Thank you for your consideration.
