Put my late fathers house on the market last weekend. I chose to use 2 Estate Agents for some healthy competition. Agent A was chosen at random driving along the local high street. Agent B had a Sold sign in the next road. Both Agents had a key to the property at 9am Monday morning, Agent A was asked to arrange an EPC within the next two weeks. I took the photos and emailed them over. Here is the performance.... Tuesday... Agent A: Property displayed on Rightmove. Five confirmed viewings for later in week. Agent B: Were waiting for the EPC. I politely informed them that there was now a grace period for marketing awaiting the report. Oh! Wednesday... Agent A: Viewing tomorrow morning. Agent B: Were waiting for you to confirm the details are correct in compliance with The Property Misdescriptions Act 1991. I politely informed them that the Act had been repealed on 1st October 2013. Oh! Thursday: Agent A: Received an offer close to the asking price. I dont think Ill bother giving B a call.
