Putting on the Armor of God Father todayI acknowledge that every battlein mylife is not mine, but belongs to You. For I know that my real struggle is not against whatI can see with myeyes, but with what is unseen – thepowers of this darkworld, thedevil –who waitsfor an opportunemoment to steal, kill and destroy Your work in mylife, to ensnare me. (2Chronicles20:15; Ephesians 6:12-13; John 10:10) Father forgive me, for I have notbeen self-controlled and alert. I’ve allowed myselfto be lulled into complacencyby the noise and distractions ofthe world. I have not resisted the enemy, most of the time at best, I pretend he doesnot exist. But Your Word admonishes meto stand firm in my faith, that if I do not, I will not stand at all. Lord, teach meto stand. (1 Peter 5:8-9; Isaiah 7:9) Today, as You have instructed me, I choose to put on Your full armor so that I mightstand against thedevil’s schemes and stand my ground when the dayofevil comes upon me –that I might be strong in You and Your mightypower! I choose to ‘put on’ Jesus! (Ephesians 6:10-13) I stand firm then with the beltof truth buckled securely around my waist. Jesus, You arethe way and thetruth and the life…I turn from all falseteaching and philosophies ofthis world and I put on Jesus, theTruth. (Ephesians 6:14; John 14:6; Colossians 2:8) I put on thebreastplateofrighteousness – Jesus, there wasno sin found in You, yet You tookmy sin on Yourselfso that I might becomethe righteousnessof God! This day, I turn from all sin thatentangles meand holds meback, and I put on Jesus, my righteousness. (Ephesians 6:14; Philippians 3:8-9; Hebrews 12:1) I choose today to fitmyfeet with readinessthatcomes from the gospel ofpeace. Lord Jesus, You aremy peace, for you havedestroyed the barrier that was between meand God the Father! Makeme readyto give the reason for the hopethatI have, for I long to share with others that You Lord Jesus are my peace! (Ephesians 6:15; Ephesians 2:14-18; 1 Peter 3:15 ) I takeup thisday, the shield offaith so that I might be able to extinguish all theflaming arrows, the attacks ofthe evil one. The lifeI live in thismortal body, I live by faith in You, the Son ofGod, who loved meand who gave Yourself for me. Maymyfaith in You increaseas I hear Your Word and putit into practice – for You Lord Jesus are theauthor and perfector of my faith.(Ephesians6:16; Galatians 2:20; Romans 10:17; James 1:22-25; Hebrews 12:2) I put on thehelmetof salvation and declare that salvation is found in no one else, for thereis no other name under heaven by which I can besaved from mysin! You Lord Jesus are the Christ theSon of the Living God! Jesus, You are my salvation! (Ephesians6:17; Acts 4:12; Matthew 16:16) I takeup thisday, the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and I proclaim Lord Jesus that You are the Word made flesh, and You will accomplish all that You intend! Hallelujah! (Ephesians6:17; John 1:14; Isaiah 55:11) Father, I choose today to clothe myselfwith Christ, to be alert and ready to pray– to prayin theSpirit no matter the occasion or situation that I am in, with all kinds ofprayers and requests. May I becomeonewho is increasingly faithful in prayer. (Ephesians 6:18; Romans 12:12) In all of these things, I put on ChristJesus - and I take my stand! May Your power thatis at workin methisday, be mighty. I askall thesethings in the Name ofJesus, who gave Himselffor methat I might truly live. Amen and Amen.
