Q - Ano po ang puedeng gawin to convince an atheist to believe in God? A - Halos wala. Belief is a personal thing. Sya dapat ang mag-process nun. What could an atheist do to make you unbelieve? Halos wala rin. Pareho lang. You cant make an atheist believe as much as you cant make a believer unbelieve. Perhaps an idea could make one change his/her mind. But you should let him process it himself. The more you try to convince an atheist to believe, the more he hardens his heart, not because he doesnt want to believe but because he doesnt want you to win. I think MANY SO-CALLED ATHEISTS DO NOT not BELIEVE IN GOD, they just do not believe in the GOD ACCORDING TO organized religion. It is not God per se that many of them dont believe but the anthropomorphized, humanized, politicized, commoditized, trademarked, franchised and branded god of religions --- the kind of god made by religion in mans image to reflect, echo and even promote human agenda, human foibles and even human cruelty. Many atheists reject not God but this kind of god that tribes and religions make in their own image not only to own deity but also to make the divine affirm their tribe and demonize their neighbors or their opponents. Some expressions of atheism could just be confused reactions to the excesses of organized religion and not really a repudiation of the Divine. So what few things are left to do to win atheists? One is to correct, reform and cleanse religion of its selfish misrepresentation and misappropriation of God.
