QC Inspector Level 1 Job Title: Quality Inspector Level1 Company: Confidential Location: Heidelberg, Gauteng, South Africa Contract Type: Permanent position 1. MIN REQUIREMENTS Two years QC inspection experience in fabrication and metal engineering environment SAIW Level 1 Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook) Knowledge of various welding codes (ASME, EN, etc) Knowledge of expansion joints, economizers, ducting, pressure vessel would be advantageous 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Plan and perform inspections and site surveys Compile quality documents, i.e. I&TP/QCP, Inspection reports, data books, etc Ensure inspections carried out to I&TP’s and procedures Evaluate the validity and acceptability of NDE Reports Ensure inspection records are maintained Perform inspection in accordance with procedures and code requirements Be familiar with inspection tools and equipment and proficient in their use Ensure condition and calibration status of measuring equipment Ensure timely and progressive compilation of quality dossier/data books Report non-conformance and notify the Supervisor of any serious or urgent quality problems and/or deviations from specifications 3.
