QLS Cougars: Salsa Night will be this Friday, May 16th, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., so get ready to participate with energy, happiness and lots of enthusiasm! The event, a project originally started by our high school seniors four years ago, is a fundraiser to benefit the African Library and Fuerza Chile projects. Additionally, the Spanish Club along with Save the Children will use the funds to adopt Gilmer, a young boy from El Salvador. Gilmer is seven years old and with our help he can attend school, eat healthily and have access to healthcare. Tickets are $10 and include tasty Latin American food, a Salsa Show, fabulous music and dancing. See Señora Salamanca or Señora Odda-Steahly in classroom 129 and 130 for tickets and/or questions.
