I have been a student of Gods word for many years now. The more I study the word, the more of God I see. The more I know Him, the more I crave to know Him. You can only know Him through the word as revealed by His Spirit. You dont need to know everything to know God, it takes the knowledge of God to know everything. The entrance of His word giveth light; it giveth understanding(Psalm 119:130). The entrance of His word gives understanding. Remember, we were told in Proverbs 4:7, to get understanding. Some think that this understanding will come from being what they call versatile. Some has resorted to papers and google seeking understanding. I saw from Gods word that such exercise wont give you this kind of understanding. The entrance of thy word oh Lord. I seek not to know more in my head than in my heart. God has set the world in my heart and not in my head. Head knowledge can promise moral control but cant control it. Its wisdom that makes you act your knowing, and this wisdom is spiritual understanding. The quotes of great philosophers does not give wisdom. I have heard philosophers being quoted even from the pulpit. Its important to know who you are quoting. I chose many years ago to be quoting the Spirit of God and Godly men and not philosophers. The Lord direct your heart into understanding.
