QPNG member Jackson Ipikara comments today on my post -SELECTION BASIS FOR KUMULS Is He or She spot on the money here New Zealand never pick any players from their domestic competition. They now only pick from the NRL and Super League. Has that stopped them from running their domestic competition ?? Maybe the QLD Cup & the NSW Cup should also cease to exist because none of the players there get selected for Origin or for Australia. Maybe the Owners of the Northern Pride, East Tigers, Ipswich Jets etc should start whinging and demanding that their players be considered for Australia. Maybe Intrust Super & VB should pull their sponsorship of the QLD Cup & NSW Cup because they are squandering money on a competition that doesnt reward the players.......lol......Get it into your thick heads people. The days of going lazily from Digicel Cup to Kumuls is goooone........QLD Cup & NSW Cup is the new minimum benchmark. And one day when we have enough PNG players in the NRL I believe that will be the only place to choose our Kumuls from.
