Primary Function To perform Q.C. survillance activities at Suppliers’ Shop and/or at Site. Responsibility surveillance on incoming materials; surveillance on materials/components identification; surveillance on materials/components preservation; inspections and tests on civil works; measuring/test equipment calibration control; Non-Conformances management and control; Q.C. records review and collection; to report Q.C. Coordinator about performed activities status. Desired Have a University Degree or a technical high school degree or strong technical background; 5 years (at least) experience in related duties; Must be South African national. Fluent in English & South African local languages (written and colloquial); Knowledge of Italian language would be an added advantage. Strong oral and written communication skills; Applicable standards and codes (i.e. UNIFOR BUILDING CODE, BS 8110 STRUCTURAL USE OF CONCRETE, ACI 318, CNR-UNI 10011, etc.) good knowledge; Civil works technique good knowledge (bar/formwork positioning, concrete and rebar, masonery and stonework, steel and miscellaneous materials, wood and plastics, insulation and waterproofing, doors and windows, interior finishes); Local laws and rules for civil works good knowledge. Available for travel within/outside South Africa as and when required
