QUESTION FROM A COTC FRIEND (** NOTE: POSITIVE, HELPFUL AND ENCOURAGING COMMENTS ONLY AS ALWAYS PLEASE!) I am 21 years old and am struggling with my weight, exercise and obsession with both. I began losing weight after returning from Europe in 2011 weighing a little more than i was happy with. To do this i minimised my carbohydrate intake and increased exercise... to date i have lost 20kg... Now i exercise once a day, mainly weights and interval training however i still eat minimal carbs. My diet includes salad, veges, nuts, dried fruits, all sorts of proteins, meats and loads of eggs. However, it has become such a habit and psychological obsession to cut carbs because i worry about putting on the weight if i started incorporating them into my diet again. I know i am not nourishing my body for how hard i work it and consequently I am still losing weight, however this isnt my aim. Whilst I know what i have to do to eat a healthy and balanced diet, convincing myself to actually do it is proving to be the biggest task. I mainly want be happy and comfortable with it my lifestyle and not be so worried about incorporating the carbohydrates. Have you/ anyone any ideas of how to begin including the nutritious carbohydrates into my diet so that i am nourishing my body properly? I am fading away and my family and friends are worried, which upsets me! Thanks in advance!
