QUESTION??? What are you doing today with what you have? If you - TopicsExpress

QUESTION??? What are you doing today with what you have? If you dont have anything, then start something, even if it’s in a windowsill. Movement begets movement. I have owned my land for 15 years but I’m a huge advocate of NOT owning land, due to high taxes and insurance and the older we get the less we need to own and take care of. Elderly couples need young folks to care-take their yards and small acreages. Help an elderly, neighbor or team up with a friend and grow and share the benefits of your harvest. Don’t even think about how much land you need or what you could do with a given acreage. Just start doing something NOW, and if you fill it up, are completely faithful with that, then the next step will become apparent. Seldom do we see the whole journey. The journey starts with one step. Take that one baby step and then the next will show itself. Ive seen many people grow things in the city, in their back yards, on their patios, along a fence—you name it, all you need is access to sunlight. People are farming on concrete by filling container/bins with soil. You can mix in vegetables with a beautiful landscaped yard, and reap many benefits of good wholesome, healthy food to serve your family. I read and see on the news so many saying they do not have food, or do not know where their next meal is coming from. People needs to learn how to grow their own food. Yes we need to help, I firmly believe charity begins at home, but we also need to teach others, not just hand over to them. They need to take responsibility and learn to supply their own needs. When we just give and do not teach, we are not really helping, we are then encouraging dependency on others. Give a bag of soil, some seeds, a pot to grow the seed in and advice on how to grow the seed. Make a point to become friends and talk with them if possible from time to time, see how they are doing and if you can give encouragement and a helping hand. Choose a family in your hometown to help, we all need to help others. The words of my blessed heavenly Mother comes to mind....Where there is a will, there is a way and idle hands makes for mischief, so get busy and help yourself, and others and teach your children how to help themselves and eat healthier by growing your own food. Take baby steps and research online, I watch a lot of good youtube videos of other gardeners. There is several groups on facebook for gardeners you can check out. If I can help in any way, just ask, I will share. This comes from my heart, May God bless each of you and lead and direct you to make good choices everyday. May each of you be a blessing to others.
