QUICK SUNDAY UPDATE on things you might have been wondering about or that we have not told you yet. :) 1) CHANCE (senior black male) has not had any more seizures and has been doing excellent. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for him. 2) MILEY (giant chubby mastiff) was spayed a little over a week ago. Because of her chubbiness, she had some issues with her incision line and had an infection in her fat rolls. So twice a day, we have been rolling her giant (172 lbs!) body over and washing, drying and powdering her belly. Shes also on antibiotics and is doing great. Drew and I took her stitches out a couple of nights ago and everything looks good. 3) BO (little tank of a yellow puppy) is back from being fostered by Jennie and Alex during his neuter recovery. They updated me routinely regarding his antics -- which included humping everything in sight, barking at the other dogs when they went by his crate, whining incessantly in his crate (he was recovering from neuter), jumping like a madman and basically a laundry list of naughty puppy behaviors. So he came back last night and we are already working on him! Cute as a button, but naughty as can be! 4) GET READY FOR HOLIDAY GIFTWRAPPING AT ORVIS! We will need people every weekend. We usually start at 10 or 11 and end at 3-5 depending on how busy it is. Orvis is so generous to allow us to do this and were going on our 5th year! People now come visit us to get their gifts wrapped, ask about last years dogs and make generous donations. Thanks you to Tracy and Orvis Atlanta for giving us this opportunity! 5) Our attorney should have his response to the first draft of our lease on our new place in the city. We are anxiously awaiting it; should be Monday or Tuesday. Once we sign the lease, we will need to GET TO WORK getting the building ready for us and the dogs! We will be looking for LOTS of help! hint, hint Thats it for today. Drew and I are wrapping up morning chores and I envision we will be at least drowsy, if not napping within the hour. :)
