Qualifying is over and were into the business end of the event. There was heartache and if only blues aplenty today which saw 5 Tour Card Holders crash (literally) out of the competition. Half point penalties for causing damage have been very expensive here with Francesco Bruni, Keith Swinton and Mathieu Richard being penalised and then paying the ultimate price by missing the cut by half a point. Phil Robertson and David Gilmour will also be rueing missed opportunities throughout Qualifying. So for many the Golf course and beaches beckon to nurse bruised egos but what better place in the world is there to be knocked out of an event. The Quarter Finals are one match in with Ian Williams Team GAC Pindar, Taylor Canfield US One Sailing Team, Eric Monnin and Johnie Berntsson all leading over Marek Stanczky, Staffan Lindberg, Pierre-Antoine Morvan and Bjorn Hansen respectively. We get under way at 0900 ADT tomorrow to finish the first to 3 point Quarters and head into the Semi Finals.
