Queen Katarina Hornung and Princess London Reams recently traveled to the 108th National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado to volunteer and represent Kit Carson County. These two young ladies stayed extremely busy the three days while at the National Event being involved in numerous interactive activities. The girls had the opportunity of helping at the Pony Trails where they trained young girls on how to become royalty. They helped at the Stick Horse Rodeo, assisted young cowgirls and cowboys participating in their own rodeo. They were able to help with the Mutton Bustin’ encouraging the young riders as they rode the sheep and helping them up afterwards. During the PRCA Rodeo, they greeted and seated Gold Buckle guests and got to enjoy the rodeo performance themselves. Throughout the days, they did meet and greet for various performances, taking tickets, handing out information, taking pictures, and signing autograph sheets. A lot of the time, they spent in the company of other royalty across Colorado, making new friends. Katarina had the privilege of handing out the 6-Horse Hitch Winner Award at the Draft Horse Show, along with many other Draft Horse and Mule Awards. The girls had a great experience promoting the Kit Carson County Fair and Rodeo and are looking forward to the upcoming year.
