Per-Arne wrote to me,that you are in touch with Lulu and the newspapers. Please pass to Lulu my deepest condolences. I would as well appreciate if some short statement of my would be read or published... Mourning together with you and all friends of Horacio. Missing you,dearMaria! Yours Gidon (presently in New-York). ++++++++++++++++++++ I was privileged to have known,worked and become a friend of Horacio Ferrer-one of the greatest personalities I met on my artistic path. His spirit and personality enriched our collaboration on the recording and worldwide Kremerata Musica tour of Maria de Buenos Aires. The project became an unforgettable, life time experience for everyone in our team. It was Horacios highly original voice,who inspired all wonderful musicians and singers,whom I was lucky to assemble for this production. It was Horacios poetry,that made Piazzollas great music a lasting experience for everybody,who played,sang, touched or listened this magic score-a precious and unique monument in the history of music. Horacios and Astors Maria de Buenos Aires was able with its spirit to unite all of us-participants from so many different countries and allowed the whole team to become friends forever. All of us will miss our dear Duende-Horacio. His warm voice and personality undoubtedly left a deep trace in our hearts. My sincere condolences go as well to Lulu-Horacios inspiration and Muse.
