Question: Am I wrong to be irritated when the cashier at a local market asks me to leave my messenger bag at the counter before I shop? My rational side tells me that its not that big of a deal (although I feel a bit nervous because the bag frequently contains things like my cell phone, camera, records, house keys, and a thumb drive with who-knows-what on it). But Im a regular customer there, and I suppose that my irrational, thin-skinned side feels somehow slighted.
